We've designed the Modular Kneeboard System to work from a common base that serves as the central node from which everything else attaches. Using a system of double-velcro attachment points, the leg straps, stabilizers, optional tilt kit, and other accessories are configured to meet your workflow for any mission and airplane.

Clipboard Flip Panel for Kneeboards
Fully integrated clipboard with removable Velcro hinges
We worked long and hard on this fourth-generation clipboard including acquiring new high-tech equipment and designing the integrated clipboard panel to work with all sizes of our best-selling kneeboards and especially the Modular Kneeboard system. Attach the flip panel using the velcro tabs on each side of the Battle Board Kneeboard or using the 3-ring Kit for Modular Kneeboards.
We integrated the clipboard to our laser-cut CURV® thermo-formed boards and spaced the holes to work with 6-Ring binders, and the THULS 3-Ring binder. You can also combine it with our 7-Ring Attachment to give more stand-off for your approach plates to hang down the side while using the clipboard.
The Clipboard Flip Panel attaches to either side of the kneeboard securely by one of two methods. First is the method we recommend: attach the 3-ring Kit for Modular Kneeboards to the side or top of the tilt or base panel. Then easily secure the clipboard inside the ring binder. Flip to the top or to either side of the Modular Kneeboard. The second methods consists of sandwiching two layers of Velcro One-Wrap onto the One-Wrap tabs sticking out. The board flips to the side using the Velcro hinges when not in use, and wraps up with the rest of your stuff when you’re finished flying or driving.
Our Clipboard Flip Panel is made from CURV®, a thermoformed polypropylene designed for strength and weight reduction. Each panel comes with enough elastic to weave the paper retention in the pattern you prefer and secure it with the cordloc or by tying knots. Each panel is ambidextrous, just like our Kneeboards and secures to the opposite side using the corresponding velcro hinges and patch on the kneeboard pocket.

Installing on a Battle Board Kneeboard (Velcro Hinge method)

Separate the Velcro One-Wrap hinges on one side of Clipboard Flip Panel

Attach the lower clipboard velcro hinge to the underside of the kneeboard tab and press together.

Sandwich the top velcro hinge to the top of the kneeboard tab.

Adjust the distance and shape until your clipboard sits naturally onto the top of the iPad or tablet.
Notes: If your legacy Tech Kneeboard does not have the necessary velcro tabs, we have a Kneeboard Upgrade Program to easily rectify that issue or you can upgrade to our new Modular Kneeboards: iPad Mini, iPad Air, iPad Pro
