Unpacking Your Scout

Unpacking Your Scout

You've just gotten your Scout. Congratulations!

Here's what you should do first:

There is a thin layer of film covering the polycarbonate of your Scout. It is sewn in to protect it's clear surface during manufacturing and shipping, but now is the time to take it off.

Check out this short video about how to remove it:

Now, you're ready to go!

Abrasion-Resistant Polycarbonate

Battle Board Scout Remove Film
All Battle Board writing surfaces are made from abrasion-resistant polycarbonate to protect them from scratches and hazing. This isn't your standard cheap plexiglass from Home Depot. Unlike plexiglass, our polycarbonate resists scratches, won't shatter or haze up, and is also self-extinguishing.

When you receive your Scout, if the polycarbonate seems dull or looks like it has scratches on it you probably need to remove the protective film.
